From Sydney originally, a gravure printer by trade James Walker Metsa Group worked at Anzpac in Australia) then moving to work internationally in South East Asia, for the last ten years. Five years in Ho Chi Minh City working for a printing company, before joining the paperboard industry.
Joining Metsa Board, as a Technical Service Manager for the past four years is based in Singapore and manages Asia Pacific market, working with customers to assist them in all their technical needs.
The priority is to ensure Metsa Group’s high-performance Folding Box Boards are meeting and exceeding their high expectations along with achieving great running efficiencies through printing, converting and filling line processes. Further to this, James is the “Sustainability Ambassador” for this region, helping to promote and explain what “Sustainability” means in terms of Metsä Board and how sustainability can benefit customers.
James is a member of the Australian Institute of Packaging and currently studying a Diploma of Packaging technology through them.”
